Academy Awards ke-94 baru saja mengumumkan nominasi Piala Oscar 2022, pada Selasa 8 Februari 2022. Pengumuman tersebut memuat daftar proyek film dengan berbagai genre.
Setelah nominasi Piala Oscar 2022 diumumkan, gelaran Academy Awards ke-94 dijadwalkan pada Minggu 27 Maret 2022 mendatang.
Academy Award atau disebut juga piala Oscar adalah penghargaan film Amerika untuk menghargai karya dalam industri film.
Berbagai kategori pemenang diberikan penghargaan berupa sebuah salinan patung oleh Academy Award of Merit, yang lebih dikenal dengan julukan Oscar.
Dalam sejarahnya, penghargaan ini diberikan tiga bulan setelah tahun baru, untuk menghormati prestasi dan karya dalam industri film pada tahun sebelumnya. Sebagai contoh, 12 Years a Slave dianugerahi Best Picture pada tahun 2013, meskipun penghargaan Oscar diselenggarakan pada tahun 2014.
